Our client, the Idaho Transportation Department, (ITD) is seeking an accomplished professional engineer for the role of District Engineer/Division Administrator due to a pending retirement. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer,this key leadership and management role is largely responsible for advancing ITD's "One Highways" vision, which focuses on safely, mobility and economic opportunity by building key relationships with third parties while providing oversight for District 3's planning, operations, maintenance and project delivery initiatives.

This significantly autonomous position constructively contributes to both the Highways Leadership Team's (HILT) and the Senior Leadership Team's (SLT) efforts to advance ITD's mission and solutions to issues of ITD-wide significance.

Centered in the Treasure Valley, District 3 is ITD's most-populous and complex district. The District 3 Engineer makes decisions with broad impact on the citizens and industry in Southern Idaho. As such,the District 3 Engineer is a Division Administrator-level position (one level higher than ITD's other District Engineers).

To be considered you must have the following:

*Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), or be eligible for license reciprocity.

*Have extensive experience with state and local government operations, managing professional engineering staff.

*Have excellent verbal skills, and be comfortable making oral presentations relative to the merits of engineering applications.

*Have excellent written communication skills, to include writing engineering reports and related correspondence.
